About Allan Redash, M.D. and Teri Redash, R.N

 

Dr. Allan W. Redash was born and raised on Long Island, New York.  From childhood Allan’s calling in life was to become a doctor.  Doctor Redash’s medical careerDr. Allan Redash began as a board certified OB/GYN and he is a former Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Redash is also a Diplomat with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  As a practicing physician he developed a strong interest in Anti-aging, Functional, and Integrative medicine as an adjunct to diagnosing and treating his patients.  Doctor Redash is considered by many to be an expert in the field of Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy for men and women.  He has particular interests in PMS, thyroid and menopausal issues, neurological and gastrointestinal health, and nutrition. To further his knowledge Dr. Redash later enrolled in “The Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine” with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and has passed both his oral and written boards with the Academy.

 

Teri Redash R.N. was born and raised in Queens, New York.  While enrolled at State University at Stony Brook she served as a Student Peer Counselor and a member of the Counselor Training Program.  After graduation Teri went on to become a licensed funeral director before pursuing studies to become a registered nurse.  Teri’s nursing career began in the Oncology Department at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where she later reached her ultimate goal of enjoying a career in Maternal-Child Health.

Since 2004 Teri has been involved in the everyday activities of Dr. Redash’s practice.  She particularly enjoys the role of being an educator, helping to guide their patients to attain optimal health.  Having always lived a proactive lifestyle, being a part of  her husband’s functional medicine  practice fits perfectly with her own philosophy of how we should live for optimal health.
